Sabritec Testing Capabilities

Sabritec has a number of special laboratory areas for materials and product testing. Normal mechanical, electrical and environmental test equipment associated with connector testing is used. Electrical testing capabilities include IR, DWV, VSWR, insertion loss, attenuation, Corona Distinction Voltage and others. Equipment for environmental testing includes humidity, salt spray, thermal shock and thermal burn–in chambers.

Sabritec uses a Production Automation Automatic Filter/Diode Array Test system. The Model 4700 system supports 100% rapid test of filters and diodes for the IR, DWV, capacitance, inductance and leakage current. As an example, the Model 4700 takes a maximum of 25 seconds full test time on a typical 38999, type 15–35. The modular construction of the 4700 allows the separation of tests in automatic mode. The filter module is tested at the higher voltages before engagement with the diode module. The low standoff and clamping voltages of the diode are tested at the final assembly stage as well as at the modular levels.

For microwave and RF coaxial connectors and cable assemblies, Sabritec’s Wiltron 360B Vector Network Analyzer measure VSWR & Insertion Loss up to 20 GHz. All four S-parameters can be measured simultaneously & efficiently measuring precision RF transmission and reflection coefficients. Rapid data store and retrieval functions are quickly obtained for complex TDR Analysis, stub tubing, and precise phase matching of RF Cable Assemblies, high frequency probes and waveguide tuners. Assembly line personnel also perform complex RF measurements. For rapid high production testing needs with the use of pass/fail limit line set-ups and calibrations ensuring complete reliability of high quality 100% tested precision RF connectors and cable assemblies.

The assembly utilizes a clean room atmosphere with a spacious area that includes specialized equipment to provide for efficient operations. There is a s separate area set aside for filter connector assembly and test. Sabritec makes effective use of its facilities, which enables us to manufacture products from raw stock through final testing and shipping.
