The M1A2 program features a display modernization program for new state-of-the-art displays for the M1A2 Abrams Tank. Sabritec developed a unique shell Size 28 MIL-DTL-38999 connector, not available within the industry, to fit the requirement of a minimum of 20 signal contacts, 12 100-ohm twinax ethernet and 6 150-ohm twinax fibre channel contacts located within a single connector. This approach met the requirements of the Army for mechanical packaging while solving all electrical matched impedance requirements for true signal integrity.
